Sunday is my birthday. The big 2-6. I spent yesterday afternoon having manis/pedis + mojitos with my mom, Miss Mendi and my sister, Kate. It was a blast.
(Disclaimer: No, I’m not 8 months pregnant, this is a long, flowy, Rachel Zoe-esque dress that feels like a nightgown and although it’s not the most flattering thing one can wear, it’s so comfortable)
These were the colors I picked: (they look better in real life.)
Fingers: Matched Luggage
Toes: Espresso Yourself
Now, last July I saw a cake on Darby’s blog, for a 2 year old. I emailed it to my mom saying, “When I am living in Houston next March, can you please make this cake for my birthday. I’d like 26 caterpillar bodies please. Thank you”. Sweet Miss Mendi has had the picture printed out on her kitchen counter since last week. But I gave up sweets for lent. So it looks like we’ll be eating this 26 bodied caterpillar cake on Easter Sunday.
Just pretend its says, “Happy Birthday Meg!”.
Tonight some old friends are flying in from New Orleans, I can’t wait! Courtney and I have been pals for forever…we’ve been having weekends of wildness since we were 7! We’re going to a crawfish boil tomorrow for LSU alumni (Tim and I aren’t technically, official Tigers, but we’ll do anything for crawfish.) Then brunch here or here on Sunday!
Oh we popped in to Targay earlier today, and Tim got this fancy little dress for me! Alexander McQueen?! Adorable!
Next week I’ll be older and wiser…see you then!
