Amed Part 1

This weekend we went up to Amed for a little weekend get-a-way!

We opted out on driving our motorbikes for the three hour journey. So we rented this cute little tin box instead:

This is the view on the way to the hotel once we were in Amed:

That’s the Batur volcano in the background… Amed is famous for being able to dive or snorkel right off the shore. The whole coast is surrounded by coral reefs. Tomorrow I’ll put our underwater pictures up!

How cute was our little bungalow? It was made entirely of bamboo!

I loved the bathroom and especially the outdoor shower. It was great until we found a dead scorpion in the toilet on Sunday morning!

We are so good at being ‘make-shift’! We cut water bottles in half to use as cups for our beer, mine was the top part of the bottle, so it was more of a champagne flute than a highball glass!

I wanted to take her home with me. Love those pearls!

We had a great time relaxing and snorkeling in Amed…it was so peaceful!

What are you talking about Meg! “Little get-away?” Why would you need to “get-away” when you are on a giant one! You guys look like you are having so much fun! I’m very jealous! Wish I can be there! Give Tim a big Hi from Thor and I 🙂
