Like the prettiest house on the block, this Texas restaurant catches the eyes of passers-by. For Relish Restaurant & Bar, a favorite among Houstonians, the atmosphere is just as enticing as the cuisine.

Completed in November of 2024, a full-scale renovation of the 3,800-square-foot building included everything from the materials and finishes to furnishings and accessories. The space’s atmosphere was kept cozy, reminiscent of a French café’s inviting ambiance, inspired by Meg and her team’s travels to Paris. With an emphasis on the restaurant and bar’s leisurely dining experience, guests are invited to sit back, relax, and enjoy the company of family and friends in an irreplicable “je ne sais quoi” environment.

Vintage and new elements mingle happily here—as marble, penny tile, lime-wash paint, and walnut-paneled walls coexist with contemporary finishes and an open layout. The inclusion of ethereal sheers mixed with rich velvets softens classically referenced selections of marble and unpolished brass, intended to patina over time. A palette of gold, walnut, wine, and navy envelops the space.
