Buffalo Roam
Located eighty miles west of Houston, in New Ulm, this contemporary ranch home became the perfect answer for a Houston family in need of a weekend retreat. Abundant in acres, the property offered potential and, most importantly, the opportunity for relaxation and renewal.

The family turned to Lonergan and her team in hopes that they could create a weekend home with the promise of permeance. Secluded from city lights and encased in expansive glass-paned doors and windows, which Meg opted to keep, this home’s seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living invites tranquility and interaction with nature.

Lonergan chose to create charming yet modern spaces that honor the rural location while also acknowledging the family’s more urbane roots. The intentionally streamlined spaces are peppered with quaint patterns, a warm mix of hues, and furnishings that feel both inviting and intrinsically chic.

“We let the property’s natural beauty inform our design decisions,” says Lonergan. “The land itself is an integral part of this home’s history and family’s future.”
