Humayun's Tomb

Tuesday morning Meera took us to Humayun’s Tomb, we got up at the crack of dawn to watch the sun come up! Humayun’s Tomb is a grand mausoleum built for an emperor by his queen. It is said to be the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. It is one of the first Mughal garden tombs and is a World Heritage Monument. The sandstone architecture, marble inlay and trellis work had me drooling! I couldn’t take enough photos. If that wasn’t enough, the gardens were filled with wild peacocks, green parrots and falcons. I felt like I was in an Indian fairy tale story!

Ok, here is Meera & Suresh’s naughty little puppy Pluto. I wanted to pack him in our bags and take him on our trip. I’m a little pug obsessed these days.

Side note: lookin’ a little tired? remember, we got up at the crack of dawn to see this place!

Tim loves Pluto too! Pluto has papaya and yogurt for breakfast. How cute is that? He’s a prince!
