In hopes of transforming a house located in River Oaks into a celebrated fusion of culture and color, these clients turned to Lonergan and her team to ensure a thoughtful revival of their home. With that task came the preservation of a cherished collection of art and antiques. The goal was to marry the timeless beauty of their inherited treasures with the residence’s more modern structure, creating a space where old and new harmoniously coexist.

As relatives of famed Louisiana painter George Rodrigue, the clients’ extensive collection includes his first piece ever sold, which holds artistic and sentimental value. Along with that cherished collection, Lonergan infused the home with elements that are both cutting-edge and carefully crafted, each one selected with her keen eye for design.

With a shared love of textiles, Lonergan included luxurious fabrics, such as mohair, antique linen velvets, Fortuny fabrics, silks, and delicate trimmings. The result is an inviting oasis comprised of traditional and timeless relics. While the house evokes a sense of rich history, every corner tells a new story.
